I've always loved to eat dinner in places with a beatiful atmosphere. In 2020 and again in 2021, I wrote articles for the Dallas Observer describing the prettiest places to eat and drink. Now 2020 was a bit different, because we did a lot of takeout and curbside pickup, but in 2021, we had a chance to sit inside and enjoy the ambience. Here's the 2021 list, and I've included some extra pictures below since they weren't included in the story.
The first time I drove by this place and saw their patio, I did a double take. When I decided to check it out for brunch, I had to snag some photos.
Take the outdoor elevator down to the main dining room with a New Orleans meets Art Deco dining room, or go down one more level to the underground patio with a multi-tiered waterfall and literal tons of Dakota marble. The food is gorgeous too.
Both the Plano and Dallas locations make great use of floral elements and velvet chairs - it's such a pretty place for drinks, and the food is wonderful too.
If you expect a feast for the eyes at this restaurant at the Hall Arts Hotel in the Dallas Arts District, your expectations will be met, and possibly exceeded.
It only takes one picture of this place to steal my heart! It's so great that they've reopened, and now you can have lunch, brunch, dinner, and wine on that pretty patio. Photo Credit: Spilt Coffee Creative / Allison McLean
I love a modern dining room. A mix of elegance and simplicity speaks volumes. Cocktails and menu items here are also works of art, perfect for a meal or social hour in this lovely space.
You can't tell from the outside how gorgeous this whiskey bar is inside. Plus it's in one of my favorite neighborhoods, Fair Park/Exposition Park.
